Taxes

There are two different tax plans in this year’s presidential race. They are raising taxes and lowering taxes. Obama wants to raise taxes and McCain wants to lower them. McCain thinks that if you make money, you should keep it as a reward for your hard work. Obama thinks that if you make money, he should take it from you and give it to less wealthy people to “Spread the wealth around”, as he told Joe the plumber. Also, Obama wants to take money from the people who pay taxes, and give it to the people who don’t pay taxes, and calls it a tax cut. He says that he is cutting social security tax, but it isn’t a tax. Social security is a payment to a retirement program.

Obama needs to be in office. McCain’s tax plane is to much like Bush’s. I didn’t know about the social security tax. That was interesting. It basicilly is a tax though. Joe the plumber was ridiculous.

I heard that the dialect between Joe the plumber and Obama was that Joe asked Obama, “What are you going to do with my taxes?” to which Obama replied, “I’m going to take your taxes and give them to people who don’t pay taxes.” It seems a very “unique” policy to say the least.

Obama is making a poor decision on his tax plan. He is taking away people’s hard earned money because some people are being lazy and would never go to college. McCain is making great a decision his tax plans. Go McCain!

Obama is not raising taxes, he is putting the tax rate back to normal. I agree with Nick in that he is not trying to steal the peoples money, but he is just trying to distribute the money evenly.

What Nick and Chris said are correct. But like what Andrew said, Obama takes the money in which people fight for. Obama increasing the taxes will just hurt America even with the harsh economy.

I think that Obama means well by distributing the wealth so that everyone can life happy and be financially secure, but his plan, i think, leans more to socialist and even communist ways rather than capitalist. i think that if people want to succeed they are just going to need to work harder, not wait for the government to give them money from other people that work for it.

I agree with Nick about McCain’s plan. I also didn’t know about the social security tax. I don’t think that Obama should take money from wealthier people and give it to less wealthier people.
