French soccer player Theirry Henry plans to end his career with playing MLS soccer, in the U.S. Henry currently plays for FC Barcelona, in La Liga A. He was prnounced 2006 Footballer of the year. He plans to end his career in approximately three years. He has also revealed that he would like to play for New York Red Bulls. Henry says in an interview, “Don’t get me wrong, I just love the U.S. I don’t know why. I love the way you live. I love American sports. For me, it’s a dream to go to training and then see a game of football, basketball, whatever game. For me, New York is the best city in the world.” The MLS is considered an inferior league to those in Europe, among the notables; Serie A, La Liga A, The Premiership League, and the Champions League. However, the MLS is going to continue to get players coming across the Atlantic to play. The players so far, have been on the downside of their career, for instance the notable David Beckham. Beckham had a great career playing for Manchester United. That said the MLS will still continue to grow, but will it reach the level of play as those in Europe?
