Saturday, tens of thousands of demonstrators joined anti-war movements in cities all over the country. They demanded an end to the war in Iraq. Television stations showed protesters marching peacefully through the streets of New York, Los Angeles, and others.

The coalition of groups leading the large protests were United for Peace and Justice. It was assumed that the total amount of participants was 100,000 in various cities such as Boston, Chicago, San Francisco, and Seattle.
