Being in Ninth Grade it is very important to keep organized. Being organized helps getting all of your work in on time. If you have science notes due on Tuesday and it is Friday in a last period study hall, you can go straight to your science notebook and get it down, so that you have no science homework for the weekend and you can go to that Spoon concert. You can keep your self organized by keeping a notebook and binder for every class in the beginning of the year. Once you get used to the class, you can modify what you take to the class. Also, you must periodically clean out your backpack so that it does not get too heavy. Also, it helps keep your backpack organized. If you have sheets of paper strewn through out your backpack, it becomes messy and disorganized. Keeping yourself organized is just one step in having and academically happy ninth grade.
Time management is also important if y you’re just coming into high school. There are many ways of managing our time well. My favorite is making a list of what you have to do. It is hard to keep track of all the homework you have, so if you make a list you will know what homework you must do and for what class. Also, you must add time constraints to each item on your list. By keeping within the time constraints, you don’t spend too much time on one particular activity. If you have to write an English essay and study for math the ties help you so that you don’t spend all your time studying for math, and not doing your English. Also, you must schedule breaks in between items. You cannot be expected to work through all you have to do, non-stop. By scheduling breaks, you don’t over work your self and you keep your self from overloading. There is still one more thing that is important for a newcomer in high school to know.
You must keep yourself from getting too distracted. There are many distractions in life to keep you from doing your work. You can schedule things like TV into your schedule to become one of your breaks. It helps to take your mind off your work if only for a little while. The Computer is a little harder to keep away from, but you can use it as a goal. If I get my work done, then for the rest of the night I can go on the computer. These are all good ways to keep yourself on track with your work, and motivated.

This is really good stuff. It’s gonna help me and I’m sure a lot more people deal with ninth grade. I think I’m actually going to a Spoon concert soon too, so haha. Nice job!
