Ryan Giggs, a midfielder for Manchester United, has recently signed a contract to keep him at Old Trafford, the team’s stadium, until June of 2009. He is the Vice-Captain of the team, second to Gary Neville. He is 33 years old and has retired from International play, where he played for the Welsh, his native country. He said ‘I hope it will prolong my career.’ He hopes that his retirement will help him physically to stay in-shape and away from injury. Giggs will try to add upon his array of medals and trophies, like a 1999 FA Cup title and consecutive PFA’s(Young Player of the Year) in 1992 and 1993. With Manchester United in second place, only one loss behind Arsenal at 7-2-1, he hopes they can regain the Premiership Title.

Wow, giggs is pretty loyal, though I doubt his career will go so far. I don’t think a lot of soccer players have their careers go past the age of 40 cause they’re gonna be replaced by all the younger ones on the rise.
Nice bloggin’
