New York City started celebrating Poem in Your Pocket Day in 2002, and in 2008 the whole country caught on. Today, April 30th 2009, represents the second annual and the 7th local PIYP Day!
All you have to do to celebrate is print out or write out a favorite poem (or an original), and carry it with you today. Share your poem with friends and family, and spread the WORD!
